JULIA NITSBERG

Born in Moscow, U.S.S.R, immigrated to USA in 1980.
Lives and works in NYC.

For the last decade she has created multi-media sculptural installations, assemblages and wall drawings exploring a range of political and socio-cultural issues. Via irony, speculation and criticism she scavenges ideas from language and art history and juxtaposes different realms, which allows multiple layers of interpretation.
